Nein, das Musical wird heute nicht angespielt, da gibt es interessantere Katzenstücke. Z.B. wenn Karen Mantler (die Tochter von Carla Bley) uns auf mehreren Platten über ihren Kater Arnold erzählt (My cat Arnold, Karen Mantler and her cat Arnold get the flu ...), auf einer CD kann man auf einem Videoclip sogar Arnolds Grab bewundern (übrigens spielen in ihrer Band einige illustre Söhne, Eric Mingus, Jonathan Sanborn, Steven Bernstein ...).

Oder ein Ausschnitt aus Ravels merkwürdigem Singspiel L’enfant et les Sortilèges, in dem Katzen eine gewichtige Rolle spielen.

Auch die Opernsängerin Marion Anderson konnte nicht wiederstehen, und hat ihre Songs and Storys about the Cat Snoopy als Platte herausgebracht (The Adventures of Marion Andersons Cat Snoopy).

Es gibt unzählige Songs über die verschiedenen Katzen (heute auch dabei: mindestens ein halbes dutzend Versionen vom Tiger rag), ein Highlight soll aber noch besonders erwähnt werden: The labyrinth scored for the purrs of 11 different cats von Klangkünstler Terry Fox, sozusagen eine Partitur für das Schnurren von elf Katzen.
